X-Marks: Though I love LastPass for saving passwords, their X-Mark product is buggy as all get out! It slows down your browser horribly. Two that I tried and do NOT recommend are: To keep this post short, I am not going to go into everything I tried to manage bookmarks over the years. When you try to collate or organize them via exporting and importing (even when using third party apps) you end up with duplicates: duplicate links, duplicate folders, duplicates of duplicates, etc.

So in short, I have ended up with Bookmarks in many different browsers. Then when I am at work I often have to use Microsoft Edge. Currently Safari is seriously hanging and recently it deleted my History (Sigh!). I know I am not alone in having duplicate bookmark issues! Many of us who heavily use search frequently have to switch default browsers between Google Chrome, Safari, and Firefox because one or the other develops issues. (Disclosure: I make no money from this post. There is no additional purpose or benefit other than sincere appreciation and sharing info on a great app!) Duplicate Bookmark Creation Fast Bookmark Scanner has made my Bookmarks usable again. I am just wowed and appreciative of this great Chrome Extension built by Nordine Zetoutou of Chenove, France. Digital Advertising should be retitled Donor Stewardship! You can follow the above steps to add multiple websites to the Dock for quick and easy access too, if desired. So many interesting finds to bookmark!! Note I did not edit the stock image.
Organize bookmarks in chrome for mac mac#
This is obviously for Chrome, but many Mac users rely on Safari to browse the web, and you’ll be pleased to know that you can add Safari bookmarks and webpages to your Mac’s Dock in an identical way. The left side of the Dock is strictly for apps, at least for now. This is because only the right-side can accept files, folders, and URL links. So, if you were attempting to keep it right next to your favorite apps, you’re out of luck. It’s worth noting that you can only successfully drag and drop your bookmarks on the right side of the Dock, next to the Trash. There you go, you’ve added a Chrome bookmark to the Mac Dock.

Click on the star icon on the right side of the address bar to quickly add a bookmark.
Organize bookmarks in chrome for mac how to#
How to Add Website Bookmarks from Chrome to the Dock in MacOSĪdding your Chrome bookmarks to the Dock is a fairly simple and straightforward procedure in macOS, here’s all you need to do: Adding bookmarks to the Dock makes it a lot easier to get to a specific web page without having to open the browser first and then choosing your desired bookmark from the bookmarks bar. It seems that not many Mac users are aware of this feature though, but it’s similar to how you can add web pages from Safari to the home screen of an iPhone or iPad. Similar to how you can add Safari website shortcuts to the Mac Dock for quick access, you can do the same with Google Chrome bookmarks too.
